The Launch of Community First

The official launch of Community First took  place at the Fudge Village on the 25th April 2009.

Many people arrived, great interest was shown in this latest local party.

It just goes to show that there is still interest from the community about what goes on around them.  Many questions were asked of the councillors inbetween the tasting of delicious fudge that was supplied by a very generous Mr & Mrs Edwards.

The questions ranged from street cleaning to Community First's aims and ambitions, one question which was given great coverage was What is happening about the local youths?

The Answer given by Community First Councillor David Bradbury was,

We have just got a resolution passed by Whitworth Town Council to set up our very own Whitworth Youth Council.

We need Volunteers to come forward and join this new initiative. Please feel free to contact him on

It was also a good opportunity for the members of Community First to be in the public eye as well to which may i add they also enjoyed to experience of greeting the community as well.
